Vesta - the Virgin and Sacrificial Lamb (#4 of 4 Part Series)

Patricia Rogers, Astrology Horoscope Queen • August 7, 2021

The Rewards for Your Sacrifice and Service

Vesta was chosen at a young age to serve a "higher purpose" and ensure the protection of the population by keeping herself pure. According to legends, Vesta asked for the life of chastity and perhaps was too young to know what she was sacrificing.

Vesta assisted in rituals and lived a life of solitude that carried large responsibilities but offered great rewards at the end of her "service". At age 30, Vesta could marry (usually arranged to be with a well-to-do and respected husband) and also bear children. She was given a nice dowry for her service and sacrifices, too!

Various myths suggest Vesta remained a virgin, and other versions claim she was buried alive as punishment for losing her virginity, and that her partner was killed as well. Other stories tell that Vesta engaged in the highest form of sex to raise the kundalini fires with her partner(s), which included high priests, and young men (boys) going to battle. Vesta was no prostitute - her role was to transform people and assist with their evolution.

Vesta is where we have our purest intentions at heart and will sacrifice to protect the integrity and spiritual purpose of people, places, and things. Vesta rules over security, investments, inheritances, sisters and is the epitome of home, family, ritual, chastity, sexuality, and devotion. Above all, she represents sisterhood!

Vesta in your astrology natal chart Indicates where you will encounter gender politics with two or more women and one male authority figure, including a "love triangle"! Her placement will also Indicate service to the community to purify, protect, and transmute energies from traumatic experiences. Vesta also protects by keeping secrets.

Vesta often activates when we see feminism in action, but she is also there when you see a toxic atmosphere resulting when women or girls compete with each other for a man's approval.

The position of Vesta in individual signs represents HOW and WHY you create female competitiveness and compete with females for male approval & favors. It shows HOW and WHY we empower women and find solidarity with each other – possibly at a man's expense! Vesta is a master at Gender Politics!

Vesta in a man's chart can indicate where he receives benefits from women in his life who sacrifice for him, and may continue to expect similar sacrifices as he matures and refuse to take what has been given and use it to stand on his own two feet.

Vesta in the 12 Astrological Signs: Signs will show you the HOW and WHY for actions taken for a planet, including asteroids.   Vesta sacrifices, yet there is a reward expected, and that promised benefit may (or may not be) the true motive behind her "sacrifice".  The position of Vesta in individual signs can indicate both positive and negative qualities, and can also indicate other people that will be affected - for better or worse!
