Winter Solstice and The Great Conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn

If 2020 took everyone by surprise….2021 should as well – in a good way! 

Astrologers are excited as never seen before, as Winter Solstice and the Great Conjunction of Saturn and Jupiter occur on the same day of December 21, 2020!

The Great Conjunction of 2020 is in reference to Saturn and Jupiter joining at the exact position for the first time in 20 years, with additional influences that have not occurred in several hundreds of years!

Saturn and Jupiter influences are always significant any time of year, and when they are positioned exactly together it signals a shift in energies that help you to reset, reboot and make great change happen in your life! 

Many modern-day astrologers, and “intuitive communities” say our planet is going through a re-boot, to raise its vibration and mankind is evolving at lighting speed as a result! Some even suggest there are “intergalactic forces” assisting and observing this process as it is the beginning of a new cycle that occurs every 12,000 years!

With such dynamics happening with such intensity on December 21, we may experience something like “sea legs” and need some time to adjust! For many people, they sense a shift internally and externally, and may have difficulty sleeping and focusing, and feeling a major change is immanent. 

Individually and collectively, we are in for massive changes – and one of the many challenges will be consciously getting out of comfort zone(s)! Normally, comfort zones refer to unpleasant activities – but these comfort zones are left behind in order to revive and pursue passions and set goals that require letting go of familiar routines. Isn’t that what 2020 was all about?

Both Jupiter and Saturn are great teachers – working to show us limitations and boundaries, and where to overcome them, so we can spread our wings and soar! In 2020, they worked together in Capricorn, and taught patience, perseverance and working with less (among many other lessons). 

While joined in Aquarius for (December 2020 through December 2021) Saturn and Jupiter will bring global influences through technology, and innovative thinking to solve old problems. Jupiter will ask us to think BIG! Saturn will ask us to create long-lasting results!

There will be new efforts for increased equality, freedom, and respect for individuals to be accepted for “who they are”!  Saturn and Jupiter will help to validate and use our unique gifts and be more of our “true self”. For many people, that takes them way out of their comfort zone! 

The mantra for Winter Solstice, the Great Conjunction and 2021 as a whole could be summed up in a quote by Oscar Wilde - “Be yourself – Everyone else is taken”! 

Above all, Saturn and Jupiter in Aquarius ask us to be authentic. According to astrologer Steven Forrest, the Saturn and Jupiter conjunction is asking us to “question with great scrutiny the true source” of our core believes and values. Are you blindly following dogmas that have held you captive and suffering? This is a great time to pivot and live your truth and be more free as a result. Saturn, as always, will have us climb a difficult mountain in 2021, but with Jupiter at his side, there are true rewards for your efforts! Still, Jupiter is the planet where we can over-do-it, and we must carefully choose which mountain we should climb.
